Jewelers Bench was started March 1983 by Tony and Mike Aalund, in Kingwood Texas in the Riverpoint Shopping Center. Mike is a jewelry designer / master goldsmith who has been in the jewelry industry since 1981. Tony is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America, or GIA, and a Certified Gemologist Appraiser from the American Gem Society (AGS), who started working in the jewelry industry in 1976.

Jewelers Bench offered jewelry repairs and a few custom jewelry items in the beginning. A year later the brothers hired a watchmaker and added watch repair service for their customers.

In March 1985 Jewelers Bench moved to the Rustic Woods Center and served the community for 15 years until July 1999, when they moved to the present location, Town Center in the Randalls center.  

Scott Aalund, the youngest of the brothers, came to Jewelers Bench in 1985 as a jeweler, but than went to watchmaking school and is now the exclusive watch repairman for Jewelers Bench.

Jewelers Bench has experienced a lot of growth in the last 25 years.

At Jewelers Bench, we repair and custom manufacture all types of gold / platinum jewelry. We have a complete jewelry manufacturing facility in the back, and can make jewelry from concept to finished product.
